As the Teochew dialect film Dear You is about to be released overseas, the Teochew Opera Ode to Qiaopi (Qiaopi refers to correspondence and remittance documents from overseas Chinese of Chaoshan origin) will be broadcast simultaneously on CCTV Opera Channel (CCTV-11), China Media Group Mobile, and www.cctv.com at 9:20 AM on June 8, writing a new story of Qiaopi through the integration of film and opera.

Recently, the Teochew dialect film Dear You has brought the cultural symbol "Qiaopi" —a cultural symbol inscribed on the UNESCO Memory of the World Register—back into the public eye. Through the art form of opera, Ode to Qiaopi extends individual emotions into collective memory, recreating the magnificent journey of the sons and daughters of Chaoshan who traveled across the ocean a century ago, built businesses through hard work, and kept their hometowns close to their hearts. As the graduation masterpiece of the first full-time undergraduate program for Teochew Opera at the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts, Ode to Qiaopi utilizes the Chaoshan region, the Qizhouyang sea waters, and Malaysia as its narrative spaces. It transforms Qiaopi into an emotional thread running through the entire drama, interpreting the patriotic sentiments of overseas Chinese through traditional Teochew operatic arias.

　　潮剧《侨批颂》在央视戏曲频道播出

　　潮汕方言电影《给阿嬷的情书》即将在海外上映之际，潮剧《侨批颂》将于6月8日上午9:20在央视戏曲频道（CCTV-11）、央视频、央视网同步播出，影戏联动书写侨批新故事。

　　近期，潮汕方言电影《给阿嬷的情书》让侨批这一入选《世界记忆名录》的文化符号重回大众视野。潮剧《侨批颂》以戏曲的形式，将这份个体情感延展为群体记忆，再现百年前潮汕儿女漂洋过海、艰苦创业、心系故土的壮阔历程。作为中国戏曲学院首届全日制潮剧本科班毕业大戏《侨批颂》，以潮汕地区、七洲洋海域、马来西亚三地为叙事空间，将“侨批”化作贯穿全剧的情感纽带，以潮韵唱腔演绎华侨家国情怀。
