On the morning of July 3, the opening ceremony of the 2026 “Chinese Root-Seeking Tour” — "Charming South Guangdong" Summer Camp (Guangdong Shantou Camp), which was sponsored by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and organized by the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the Shantou Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, was held at the Chaoshan History and Culture Expo Center. Young Americans of Chinese descent from across the United States gathered in Shantou to embark on a 10-day cultural root-seeking tour.

During the 10-day itinerary, campers would stroll through the historic Qilou (arcade) buildings in the Shantou Small Park, visit the Former Residence of Chen Cihong, and tour enterprises such as Zhengchao Electrical, Sirio Pharma Co., Ltd., and Shantou Golds Precision Technology Co., Ltd. They would also delve into the Chenghai toy live-streaming base to witness how digital trade is reshaping the industrial landscape. This summer camp features a carefully designed curriculum that combines tradition and innovation, covering Chaoshan intangible cultural heritage, the history of overseas Chinese hometowns, industrial development, and rich culture and picturesque scenery. It aims to help all campers gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and Chaoshan culture, becoming disseminators and promoters of Chinese culture.

2026“中国寻根之旅”汕头营开营

　　7月3日上午，由中国侨联主办，省侨联、市侨联承办的2026“中国寻根之旅”风韵南粤夏令营（广东汕头营）开营仪式在潮汕历史文化博览中心举行。来自美国各地的华裔青少年齐聚汕头，开启为期10天的文化寻根之旅。

　　在10天的行程中，营员们将漫步小公园骑楼，走进陈慈黉故居，参访正超电器、仙乐大健康、高德斯精密科技，深入澄海玩具直播基地，见证数字贸易重塑产业版图。本次夏令营精心设计了兼具传统与创新的课程体系，涵盖了潮汕非遗、侨乡历史、产业发展、人文风光等多个方面，旨在让全体营员深入了解中华文化和潮汕文化，成为中华文化的传播者和弘扬者。
