On the evening of July 5, the China-Singapore Teochew Opera and Music Cultural Gala, hosted by the Chui Huay Lim Club, Ngee Ann Cultural Centre, and Teochew Federation in Singapore, officially kicked off. The Art Troupe of Teachers and Students from Shantou School of Cultural and Art was invited to present a special performance of Teochew opera and music, using the art performance to connect hearts and strengthen the bonds of the overseas Chinese hometown. During the premiere performance, the Art Troupe's splendid performance won continuous applause from the live audience.

Led by Zhang Yihuang, winner of the Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award and vice principal of Shantou School of Cultural and Art, the Art Troupe features several renowned masters and artists, and it presented major Teochew operas and classic opera highlights such as Liang Zhu (The Butterfly Lovers), Ci Lang Zhou (Farewell at the Sandbar), Xian Fan Pei (Mortal-Fairy Romance), and Chun Cao Chuang Tang (Chuncao Storms the Court), along with Teochew musical performances. Through these performances, the Art Troupe shared the charm of traditional Chaoshan art with Singaporean audiences, further promoting cultural exchanges between China and Singapore and enhancing the friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

汕头艺校师生艺术团赴新加坡演出

　　7月5日晚，由新加坡醉花林俱乐部、新加坡义安文化中心及新加坡潮州总会主办的中新潮剧潮乐文化盛典演出活动正式开锣。汕头文化艺术学校师生艺术团受邀，献上潮剧、潮乐专场演出，以戏连心、厚植侨乡情谊。在首场演出中，艺术团精彩的表现赢得现场观众掌声连连。

　　此次艺术团由中国戏剧梅花奖得主、汕头艺校副校长张怡凰带队，多位名师名家领衔，带来《梁祝》《辞郎洲》《仙凡配》《春草闯堂》等潮剧大戏及经典折子戏、潮乐节目，与新加坡观众分享潮汕传统艺术魅力，进一步促进中新文化交流，增进两国人民友谊。
