On the morning of July 15, a delegation led by Li Jiachun, President of the Thai Young Chinese Chamber of Commerce, visited Shantou for in-depth exchanges with local officials on continuing the cultural heritage of Qiaopi and deepening economic and trade cooperation as well as people-to-people exchanges between Shantou and Thailand.

During the meeting, Cai Yongming, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department, pointed out that Shantou is seizing the opportunities of the digital economy and has become one of the preferred destinations for China's computing power services to go global, opening up new space for cooperation between Shantou and Thailand in the digital economy and artificial intelligence. He hoped that the Thai Young Chinese Chamber of Commerce would continue to give full play to its role as a bridge, encourage the younger generation of Thai-Chinese to return to their hometown Shantou for visits, and drive high-quality projects, advanced technologies, and top-tier talent to settle in Shantou, thus assisting Shantou's industries in "going global" while "bringing in" resources from Southeast Asia. Li Jiachun said that the Thai Young Chinese Chamber of Commerce would leverage the momentum of the Belt and Road Initiative to build more platforms and facilitate connections in cross-border investment, the global expansion of Chaoshan products, and youth mutual visits, enabling more fellow townspeople in Thailand to return to Shantou, stay, and succeed there. During their stay in Shantou, the delegation also visited the Qiaopi Museum, watched the movie Dear You, and toured the Shantou Small Park Historical and Cultural Block.

泰国华人青年商会访问团一行莅汕

　　7月15日上午，由泰国华人青年商会会长李嘉淳率领的访问团一行莅汕，与我市围绕赓续侨批文脉、深化汕泰经贸人文合作进行深入交流。

　　市委常委、统战部部长蔡永明在会见中指出，汕头正抢抓数字经济机遇，成为中国算力服务出海首选地之一，为汕泰在数字经济、人工智能领域合作打开新空间。希望商会继续发挥桥梁作用，带动旅泰年轻一代回乡考察，推动优质项目、先进技术、高端人才落户汕头，助汕头产业“走出去”、东南亚资源“引进来”。李嘉淳表示，青商会将借“一带一路”东风，在跨境投资、潮货出海、青年互访上多搭台、多穿针，让更多旅泰乡亲回得来、留得住、干得成。在汕期间，代表团还参观了侨批文物馆、观看了电影《给阿嬷的情书》，走访了小公园历史文化街区等。
