Recently, at the 20th All-China Philatelic Exhibition, two premium philatelic exhibits carefully selected and submitted by the Shantou Philatelic Association under the guidance of the Shantou Municipal Postal Administration won major awards. The philatelic exhibit “The Postal History of Shantou (1860–1949)”, presented by member Cai Shaoming in the Postal History category, won a Gold Medal. Meanwhile, the philatelic exhibit “The Splendor of the Commercial Port: Social and Spatial Landscapes of Shantou in the 1900s–1930s”, presented by member Lin Weiyi in the Picture Postcards category, received a Large Vermeil Award.

This philatelic exhibition gathered premium philatelic exhibits from across China. The gold-medal-winning philatelic exhibit from Shantou systematically outlines the development of Shantou’s postal services from the opening of the port for trade to the founding of the People’s Republic of China, drawing on precious postal historical materials. It vividly illustrates Shantou's historical status as an important trading port and a hub for overseas Chinese in modern China. The Large Vermeil Award-winning philatelic exhibit uses rare early postcards as its source materials. Through rich pictorial images, it panoramically presents the urban landscape, architectural features, and various aspects of daily life in the Shantou port area, profoundly narrating the social changes and folk customs of this century-old trading port.

汕头两部精品邮集在第20届中华全国集邮展览中获金奖

　　近日，在第20届中华全国集邮展览上，由汕头市邮政管理局指导、汕头市集邮协会精心组织选送的两部精品邮集收获大奖。会员蔡少明的邮政历史类邮集《汕头邮政史（1860-1949）》荣获金奖，会员林炜毅的图画明信片类邮集《商埠风华：1900-1930年代汕头的社会空间图景》荣获大镀金奖。

　　本次邮展汇聚了全国各地的集邮精品，我市荣获金奖的邮集以珍贵的邮政史料，系统梳理了汕头从开埠通商到新中国成立前的邮政发展脉络，生动展现了汕头作为近代中国重要通商口岸和华侨枢纽的历史地位。荣获大镀金奖的邮集以珍罕的早期明信片为素材，通过丰富的图画影像，全景式展现了汕头埠的城市风貌、建筑景观和民生百态，深刻讲述了百年商埠的社会变迁与民俗风情。
