On August 17-18,the Shantou “Stepping Out of the Garden” ritual event，a Guangdong provincial intangible cultural heritage item, was held at the Mazu Palace Stage. A total of 60 Chaoshan-origin families from Shantou, Chaozhou, Jieyang, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other cities participated, immersing themselves in the traditional Chaoshan coming-of-age customs.

The event was hosted by the Shantou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, and organized by the Shantou Municipal Cultural Center and the Shantou Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center. It featured two main sections: situational performances and rituals for passing on folk custom. Participants successively engaged in traditional Chaoshan “Stepping Out of the Garden” coming-of-age rites such as dressing up in traditional clothes and initiating the ceremony, kneeling to offer tea, jumpingover the Jiao lüe (a bamboo utensil used for drying),, and biting the rooster’s head. Through these experiences, young people can gain a deeper understanding of local culture, cultivate a strong sense of home and country, and take on adult responsibilities.

汕头举办潮阳笛套非遗古乐惠民展演

　　8月8日下午，一场雅致的笛套音乐展演在老妈宫戏台精彩上演，为市民游客带来沉浸式的古乐文化体验。

　　潮阳区城南街道塗库笛套音乐艺术队登台献艺，以纯正古朴的演奏风格，生动展现了潮阳笛套音乐的独特艺术魅力。演出在传统迎宾套曲《万年欢》中拉开帷幕，《柳摇金》《灯楼》等经典曲目轮番登场，尽显民乐底蕴。潮阳笛套音乐源自南宋宫廷雅乐，2006年入选第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录，是极具代表性的潮汕传统文化瑰宝。
