On August 17-18, the Guangdong provincial intangible cultural heritage item Shantou “Stepping out of the Garden” ritual event was held at the Mazu Palace Stage. A total of 60 Chaoshan-origin families from Shantou, Chaozhou, Jieyang, as well as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other cities participated, immersing themselves in the traditional Chaoshan coming-of-age customs.

The event was hosted by the Shantou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, and organized by the Shantou Municipal Cultural Center and the Shantou Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center. It featured two main sections: scenario-based performances and folk custom inheritance rituals. Participants successively engaged in traditional Chaoshan “Stepping out of the Garden” coming-of-age rites such as dressing up in traditional clothes and initiating the ceremony, kneeling tea ceremony, leaping into adulthood, and biting the rooster head. Through these experiences, young people can gain a deeper understanding of local culture, keep their country in mind, and take on adult responsibility.

汕头市举办省级非遗项目汕头“出花园”仪式活动

　　8月17至18日，省级非遗项目汕头“出花园”仪式活动在老妈宫戏台举行，共有来自汕头、潮州、揭阳及上海、广州、深圳等地的60组潮籍家庭参与，沉浸式体验潮汕传统成人礼俗。

　　活动由市文化广电旅游体育局主办，市文化馆、市非物质文化遗产保护中心承办，设置情景表演、民俗传承仪式两大板块，参与者依次开展更衣启礼、跪拜敬茶、跳胶掠、咬鸡头等潮汕传统“出花园”礼仪，让青少年在体验中读懂本土文化、厚植家国情怀、树立成人责任。
