On August 27, the opening ceremony of the 2026 Southern China Book Fair Shantou Sub-Venue was held at the Shantou Book Center. This year’s Southern China Book Fair runs from August 27 to 31 across Guangdong Province in a coordinated manner. The Shantou sub-venue has launched a rich variety of reading activities, fostering a culture of reading throughout Shantou.

The opening ceremony featured characteristic scene experiences, intangible cultural heritage displays, and reader interaction zones. A selection of fine books showcasing Chaoshan’s historical culture, humanistic customs, and intangible cultural heritage folk customs were exhibited, and the “Reading in Chaoshan” cultural tourism routes were released simultaneously, adding cultural tourism warmth to foster the love of reading among people. The Shantou branch of this year's Southern Book Fragrance Festival adopts a "city wide linkage and decentralized simultaneous holding" model, linking various reading venues such as physical bookstores, libraries, Cantonese book bars, and Huilan Academy, and carefully planning nearly 100 cultural activities. At the same time, digital reading is vigorously promoted, cloud reading spaces are created, and the “Green Bookmark Initiative” continues to be deepened to safeguard the healthy growth of young people.

2026南国书香节汕头分会场启幕

　　8月27日，2026南国书香节汕头分会场开幕式在汕头购书中心举行。本届南国书香节于8月27日至31日在全省联动开展，汕头分会场推出丰富多元的阅读活动，让书香浸润鮀城。

　　开幕式现场设置特色场景体验、非遗展示、读者互动交流等区域，集中展出一批展现潮汕历史文化、人文风情与非遗民俗的精品读物，同步发布“书香潮汕”文旅线路，为全民阅读增添文旅温度。本届南国书香节汕头分会场活动采用“全市各级联动、分散同期举办”的模式，联动实体书店、图书馆、粤书吧、迴澜书院等各类阅读阵地，精心策划近100场文化活动。同时，大力推广数字阅读，打造云端阅读空间，持续深化“绿书签行动”，守护青少年健康成长。
