On the morning of September 5, the press conference for the 2026 Shantou Marathon was held at the Chaoshan Historical and Cultural Expo Center, officially announcing that the race will kick off at 7:30 a.m. on December 20.

The event will welcome 20,000 participants in total: 5,000 for the full marathon and 15,000 for the half marathon. Registration opens from September 10 to 28. All race categories adopt a ballot-based entry system, and the ballot results will be released on October 15. Centered on Qiaopi culture as its central motif, this marathon partners with the Chaoshan-dialect film Dear You. It weaves overseas Chinese culture, intangible cultural heritage and Chaoshan cuisine into every aspect of event delivery. Meanwhile, the innovative "Village Run" series will be held across the city’s six districts and one county, extending running routes to idyllic villages and rural greenways. It offers runners from home and abroad a unique running experience featuring in-depth integration of culture, tourism, sports and commerce.

2026汕头马拉松定档12月20日

　　9月5日上午，2026汕头马拉松新闻发布会在潮汕历史文化博览中心举行，正式宣布赛事将于12月20日7时30分鸣枪开跑。

　　本届赛事总规模为20000人，其中马拉松5000人、半程马拉松15000人。报名时间为9月10日至28日，全部项目均采取抽签报名方式，抽签结果将于10月15日公布。本届赛事以侨批文化为核心IP，联动潮语电影《给阿嬷的情书》，将侨文化、非遗、潮汕美食融入办赛全流程。同时将创新推出“村跑”系列活动，覆盖全市六区一县，将奔跑场景延伸至美丽乡村、田间碧道，为海内外跑者带来一场文旅体商深度融合的奔跑体验。
