On the afternoon of September 15, a delegation visiting Shantou from the Tio Chew Association of Thailand led by Chairman Chen Yunjin made in-depth exchanges with our city on deepening economic, trade and cultural integration between Shantou and Thailand, and how to make the best of "overseas Chinese" in the new era.

At the meeting, Zhuang Yuequn, Secretary of the CPC Municipal Committee, expressed gratitude to the Tio Chew Association of Thailand for its long-term care about and support for the development of the hometown, and expected the association, serving as a bridge and bond, to keep deepening pragmatic cooperation in fields such as economic and trade contacts, cultural and tourism development, and the digital economy, and bring more entrepreneurs and new-generation Chaozhou people in Thailand back home for investigation and investment, so that the "Thai market" and the "Chaoshan root" could achieve mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation through joint efforts. Chen Yunjin said, the association would take the opportunity of this visit to continue serving as a bridge and platform, deepen exchanges and cooperation with the hometown, bring more overseas Chinese merchants in Thailand back home for investment and entrepreneurship, share opportunities, and contribute more wisdom and strength to the modernization of Shantou.
