On the evening of September 18, the Management Committee of Shantou Overseas Chinese Pilot Zone, the Shantou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and the Shantou Branch of China Construction Bank jointly organized the mid-autumn overseas Chinese banquet themed “Full Moon in the Hometown of Overseas Chinese – Connecting the World through Digitalization”, where representatives from overseas Chinese organizations and chambers of commerce, as well as representatives from enterprises and business associations in Shantou Overseas Chinese Pilot Zone were invited to gather and share hometown sentiments.

With "overseas Chinese" being the bridge, the event connected multiple links such as project matchmaking and policy promotion. Shantou Overseas Chinese Pilot Zone launched the Shantou Overseas AI Service Center officially in collaboration with overseas Chinese organizations and chambers of commerce from 10 countries including Thailand, the UK, Singapore, and Cambodia. The center will seize new opportunities from the development of the token economy to establish presence in countries and regions with a solid digital economy foundation, extensive cross-border application scenarios, and strong cooperation willingness mainly with focus on the digital economy, and build a collaboration network for digital intelligence going global featuring domestic-overseas two-way interactions based on locally influential overseas Chinese organizations and chambers of commerce.
