On the morning of October 29, officials from foreign consulates general in Guangzhou and a delegation from Xaythany District under Vientiane, the capital of Laos—who were in Shantou to attend the 25th Shantou·Chenghai International Toy & Gift Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "Toys & Gifts Fair")—held discussions with relevant leaders of Shantou on deepening cooperation in fields such as economy and trade, industry, culture, and tourism.
During the meeting, Mayor Chen Tao hoped that the officials from foreign consulates general in Guangzhou and the delegation from Xaythany District would continue to care for and support Shantou's construction and development as always, further promote friendly exchanges, enhance friendship and mutual trust, expand areas of cooperation, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
