The State Information Center, Shantou Municipal People＇s Government and China Spacesat Co., Ltd. have recently signed a Framework Agreement on the Cooperation of State Information Center Spatiotemporal Big Data Research Center, which signifies the State Information Center Spatiotemporal Big Data Research Center is officially set up in Shantou, a new opportunity for Shantou to take advantage of the development of the information economy, big data industry in particular, to achieve economic transformation and re-takeoff.
The research center is an open research platform that, while focusing on providing the local government with strategic planning, top-down design and implementation policies on the development of spatiotemporal big data industry, will carry out research activities on theories and practices concerning spatiotemporal big data industry development and conduct training on professionals for the spatiotemporal big data sector. The research center aims to be a leading spatiotemporal big data research institute in China.

国家信息中心时空大数据研究中心落地汕头
近日，国家信息中心、汕头市人民政府、中国东方红卫星股份有限公司三方正式签署了《国家信息中心时空大数据研究中心合作框架协议》，标志着国家信息中心时空大数据研究中心在汕头正式落地，为汕头依托信息经济特别是大数据产业发展，谋求经济转型，再度腾飞迎来新的发展机遇。
研究中心作为开放式研究平台，将以为地方政府时空大数据产业发展提供战略规划、顶层设计和实施策略为重点，开展时空大数据产业发展的理论与实践研究，培养时空大数据领域专业化人才，打造国内一流的时空大数据研究机构。
