To carry forward the Chaoshan culture and promote cultural exchanges between the Mainland and Hong Kong, the "Hong Kong Chiu Chow Festival", jointly organized by Hong Kong Chaozhou Associations Federation and Overseas Friendship Association of Shantou, Chaozhou and Jieyang, opened on October 8 in Central Chater garden of Hong Kong. The event will be held for five days from October 8 to 12, focusing on introducing Chaozhou and Shantou＇s featured diet and culture to the public and tourists, which is a rich and exciting show of Chaozhou culture, art and customs. Shantou sent a team of 80 people for culture, food and art exhibition in the event, to show Shantou＇s rich cultural heritage and new image.

　　为弘扬潮汕文化，促进香港与内地文化交流，由香港潮属社团总会和汕头、潮州、揭阳三市的海外联谊会联合举办的“香港潮州节”活动于10月8日在香港中环遮打花园拉开帷幕。活动将于10月8日至12日一连举办5天，集中向市民及游客介绍潮汕的特色饮食和文化，是一次内容丰富而精彩的潮人文化艺术、风土人情大展示。我市派出80人的文化、美食、艺术展示队伍参加此次活动，展示汕头深厚的文化底蕴和崭新形象。
