On the morning of October 30, the 21st Chaozhou-Shantou Food Festival had its grand opening in Jinfeng Chaozhou-Shantou Food City.
This festival had a total of about 100 booths, for local and domestic catering units and specialty businesses, among which 50 booths were for gourmet dining and the rest for landscape shopping street. It also added cultural elements, exhibiting intangible cultural heritage to improve cultural creation of the environment. In addition, during the Food Festival, there were such activities as "Tourism and Chaozhou Cuisine" seminar, special issue on Food Festival, theatrical performances with local features, evaluation for "Food House" and "the most popular specialties", recommending Shantou gourmet tours, and organizing tourists for travel and food in Shantou.
For the convenience of the public and visitors, this food festival also had many dedicated bus lines to Jinfeng Chaozhou-Shantou Food City.

第21届潮汕美食节开幕
10月30日上午，汕头市第21届潮汕美食节在锦峰潮汕美食城隆重开幕。
本届美食节共设展位约100个，吸引了来自汕头及国内各地的美食餐饮单位、特色手信经营单位参加。其中美食餐饮展位约50个，景观购物街展位约50个。同时还增加了文化元素，展出非遗产品，加大环境的文化营造。此外，美食节期间还将举办“旅游与潮汕美食”研讨会;编印美食节专刊;举办地方特色文艺表演;开展“美食之家”、“最受欢迎特色美食”等评选活动;向海内外推介汕头美食旅游线路，组织游客游汕头、品美食。
为方便市民、游客，本届美食节还专设了多条到锦峰潮汕美食城的美食节公交线路。
