On December 13, more than 5,000 marathon enthusiasts from all over China as well as Kenya, Uganda and other countries and regions gathered together in Shantou Times Square to compete for 2015 China Resources Land Shantou Half-Marathon, which was organized by Shantou Sports Bureau and Shantou Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Pilot Area and undertaken by Shantou Association of Long Distance Running.

The theme of this activity is "Shantou, Run Up!", and the track passed through seven kilometers of the promenade. Half-way runners may get a full view of Shantou＇s seaside scenery and new area development vitality, while the short-distance runners passed the main street of Shantou in their whole track to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the city. Along the way, the competition attracted a lot of people to stop to applaud.

　　12月13日，来自全国各地以及肯尼亚、乌干达等国家和地区的5000多名马拉松爱好者汇聚汕头时代广场，角逐由汕头市体育局、汕头华侨经济文化合作试验区主办，汕头市长跑协会承办的2015华润置地•汕头半程马拉松赛。
　　此次活动的主题是“汕头，跑起来！”，赛道途经长达7公里的堤顶路，半程选手可一览汕头海滨风光和新区发展活力，迷你选手则全程途经汕头主干道，感受城市良好风貌。比赛沿途吸引了不少市民的驻足喝彩。
