
On April 22-23, a group of composers from 16 Central and East European countries and regions visited Shantou for collecting folk songs and understanding “Chinese Ceremonial Classic Music" Chaozhou music, and they had in-depth exchanges with Shantou's artists.
This activity for collecting folk songs was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China. It was a sub-project of Central and East European International Art Forum, aiming to further strengthen the cultural cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European countries. The Folk Songs Collecting Group consisted of China's experts and the composers from 16 Central and East European countries and regions including Poland, Czech, Hungary and Romania, lasting for a period of nearly one month. During their stay in China, the Folk Songs Collecting Group would visit Guangdong, Fujian, Shanxi, Gansu, Beijing and other places, have an in-depth understanding of the representative Chinese national folk music, and create works based on the performing characteristics of Chinese instrumental music. Shantou is the second place in the Guangdong trip of the "Folk Songs Collecting Group of the Composers from the Central and East European Countries".

“中东欧国家作曲家采风团”莅汕
4月22至23日,一群来自中东欧16个国家和地区的作曲家们莅汕采风,了解“华夏正声”潮州音乐,并与我市的艺术家们开展深度交流。
本次采风活动由文化部主办,为中东欧国际艺术论坛的子项目,旨在进一步加强中国与中东欧国家文化合作。采风团由来自波兰、捷克、匈牙利、罗马尼亚等16个国家和地区的作曲家以及中方专家组成,为期近一个月。在华期间,采风团将赴广东、福建、陕西、甘肃、北京等地,深入了解各地具有代表性的民族民间音乐,并根据中国器乐演奏特点进行创作。汕头是“中东欧国家作曲家采风团”广东之行的第二站。
