After nearly 3 months of intense construction, the Xingshan Mountain Scenic Area of Shantou Zhongshan Park has been reconstructed and is officially open to the public. The Xingshan Mountain Scenic Area covers an area of 3,143 square meters and is an important part of Chinese garden landscape crossing waters and connecting hillocks. In order to solve the problems in this area and improve the grade of the landscape in the park, the Administrative Office of Zhongshan Park conducted planning and design according to local conditions, re-planned the trails in the scenic area, set up the sight-seeing platforms along the lake, and added new anticorrosive wooden platforms and plank road along the lake; dredged the original small pond and connected it with the Yujian Lake to improve the water quality,designed the pond into rock-filled embankment, and set stone landscaping in the pond; conducted comprehensive improvement and adjustment on the soil and greening in the area, and according to the topographic features, and created garden landscapes by using  gardening techniques. Nowadays, the brand-new Xingshan Mountain Scenic Area is naturally connected with the Yushushan Mountain Scenic Area to form beautiful scenery within Zhongshan Park.

　　经过近3个月的紧张施工，中山公园星山景区完成改造，正式向公众开放。星山景区面积3143平方米，是中山公园东部中式园林景观跨水连丘的重要组成部分。为解决该区域存在的问题，提升公园景观档次，中山公园管理处因地制宜进行规划设计，重新规划景区小径，设置沿湖观景平台，新增防腐木平台、沿湖栈道;对原有小池进行清淤并连通玉鉴湖改善水质，对水池设计为堆石驳岸，在池中置石造景;对区域土壤及绿化进行全面改良调整，根据地形特点运用园林手法制作园林小景。如今，旧貌焕新颜的星山景区与榆树山景区自然相连，形成中山公园内的又一道靓丽的风景线。
