In accordance with the Letter on the Consolidation of the Licensing Items for Foreigners to Work in China of the Leading Group Office of the State Council Administrative Approval System Reform as well as the deployment of the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Guangdong Province and the Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of Guangdong Province on consolidating the "Foreigners Employment Permit" and "Foreign Expert Work Permit" into the "Foreigners Work Permit", as one of the five pilot cities in Guangdong Province, Shantou launched the pilot work of reforming the permit for foreigners to work in China since March of this year as well as accept and handle the business in a centralized way since June 1.

Since launching the pilot work, Shantou has accepted the permit for 85 foreigners to work in China. During the pilot period, the "Foreigners Employment Permit" and "Foreign Expert Work Permit in China" which are still within the term of validity continue to be valid. Before Guangdong comprehensively implements the "Foreigners Work Permit in China", a foreigner＇s application for the permit to work in China shall continue to be implemented in accordance with the relevant existing provisions of China.

　　根据国务院审改办《关于整合外国人来华工作许可事项的函》和省人社厅、省外专局将“外国人入境就业许可”和“外国专家来华工作许可”整合为“外国人来华工作许可”的部署，我市作为全省五个试点市之一，今年3月启动外国人来华工作许可改革试点工作，并从6月1日起统一对外受理和办理业务。
　　试点工作开展以来，全市已经受理外国人来华工作许可85人次。试点期间，目前仍在有效期内的“外国人入境就业许可”和“外国专家来华工作许可”继续有效。广东省全面实施“外国人来华工作许可”前，外国人来华申请工作许可继续按照国家现有相关规定执行。
