Shantou’s first liaison office for overseas talents was founded at the Silicon Valley in the United States on October 13th WST, which is a breakthrough for the internationalization of the city’s talent introduction mechanism.

Established on the reliance of the Silicon Valley Technology Advisory Committee, the Shantou Liaison Office for Overseas Talents (Silicon Valley) will make the city’s talent policy and industrial development known to the United States and therefore enhance the overseas talents’ awareness and recognition of Shantou. The city will also take the initiative to contact the office for the information about industrial wisdoms and unbounded technologies, set up the mechanism for sharing a variety of intelligences and technological resources and make best use of the office’s role in talent exchange and cultivation as well as technology services. In addition to the office at Silicon Valley, the city will set up the Shantou Liaison Office for Overseas Talents in Los Angeles through the efforts from the Los Angeles Branch of Chinese Association for Science and Technology.

　　美国西岸时间10月13日，首个汕头市海外人才工作联络站在美国硅谷挂牌成立，我市招才引智工作国际化取得新的突破。
　　依托美国硅谷科技咨询委员会建立的汕头市海外人才工作(美国硅谷)联络站，将面向美国宣传汕头市人才政策和产业发展，提高海外优秀人才对汕头市的认识度和认同感。我市还将主动与联络站对接人才、科技等信息，建立人才技术资源共享机制，充分发挥人才工作联络站在人才交流培养与技术服务作用。除硅谷联络站外，我市还将赴洛杉矶，依托中国旅美科技协会洛杉矶分会，挂牌成立汕头市海外人才工作(美国洛杉矶)联络站。
