With its first liaison office for overseas talents launched in the Silicon Valley and with the reliance on the Los Angeles Branch of Chinese Association of Science and Technologyinthe United States, Shantou recently set up the Shantou Liaison Office for Overseas Talents (Los Angeles, the United States) which is the second inUS.

Mainly focusing on Shantou’s economic and social development, the liaison office will actively promote the policies and measures for the talents’ growth and the introduction of high-level personnel intothe city. Besides, the office may also unfold events for introducing overseas high quality talents and the opportunities of investments and technical exchanges, etc. The city will also galvanize a mechanism dedicated for sharing the talent and technology resources, carrying out personnel exchanges and information contact with the office and fully playing the office’s role in boosting the introduction and communication of talents and the promotion of technical services arising from the talent exchange.

　　继我市在美国硅谷成立首个海外人才工作联络站后，近日，我市依托中国旅美科技协会洛杉矶分会，挂牌成立汕头市海外人才工作(美国洛杉矶)联络站，这是我市在美国设立的第二个人才工作联络站。
　　联络站将主要围绕汕头经济社会发展状况，积极宣传推介我市人才发展环境和吸引高层次人才的政策措施，为我市联系和引进海内外高层次人才、协助开展招才引智、招商引资、技术交流等活动。我市还将建立人才技术资源共享机制，与联络站开展人才交流和信息对接，充分发挥人才工作联络站在人才交流引进与技术服务方面的作用。
