On the morning of October 13, the starting ceremony of creating the first 4K pilot demonstration community in our city was held in Jingtianyuan Residential Area, Guangsha Subdistrict, Jinping District, marking that 4K TV had formally entered the daily life of people in Shantou.
In March of this year, our city became one in the second batch of 4K pilot demonstration cities in Guangdong Province. There are 3 pilot demonstration cities in the province. According to the pilot program, after the first 4K pilot demonstration residential area has landed in Jingtianyuan, our city will formally start the establishment of 4K pilot demonstration residential area and villages in Jinping, Longhu and Haojiang districts. By the end of the year, establishment of eight 4K application demonstration residential areas(communities) , eight 4K application demonstration administrative villages and eight experience lounges will be completed. Through cooperative construction mechanism such as government's grant, operators' discounts, enterprises' interest concessions and residents' self-finance, the citizens can enjoy the high-speed ultra-high-definition 4K programs, health care, smart home and other new digital home experiences at preferential prices.

汕头首个4K应用示范小区启动创建
10月13日上午，我市首个4K试点示范社区创建启动仪式在金平区广厦街道景天园小区举行，标志着4K电视正式走进了汕头市民的日常生活。
今年3月，我市被授予广东省第二批4K试点示范城市，成为全省3个试点示范城市之一。根据试点方案，继首个4K试点示范社区落地景天园之后，下来我市将在金平、龙湖和濠江区正式铺开4K试点示范小区和乡村创建工作，年底前建成8个4K应用示范小区(社区)、8个4K应用示范行政村和8个体验厅，通过政府出一点、运营商优惠一点、企业让利一点、居民自筹一点的协同共建机制，让市民群众以优惠的价格享受到高速的超高清4K节目、健康医疗、智能家居等新数字家庭体验。
