The private fire brigade of Shantou Cunxin Charity with the purpose of "fighting fire for the people" has a history of more than 100 years.Recently, this fire brigade, which cares about the public welfare undertaking of  fire fighting, won the honor of the 4th  National "119 Firefighting Award".

In recent years, relying on the volunteers, Shantou Cunxin Charity has set up a number of Cunxin volunteer fire brigades covering all towns and townships, sub-districts and villages in Shantou. Under the leadership of firefighters, these volunteer fire brigades have received professional training.Next, Shantou Cunxin Charity plans to renovate and restore the original appearance of Cunxin Fire Hose Bureau and transform it into Shantou Firefighting Culture Museum, and build a firefighting science education trinity base integrating with tourism, exhibition and fire safety publicity.

汕头存心慈善会消防队获全国“119消防奖”殊荣

以“救火为民”为宗旨的存心慈善会民间消防队已有一百多年历史。近日，这支热心消防公益事业的队伍获得了第四届全国“119消防奖”的殊荣。

近年来，存心慈善会依托义工队伍，成立了多支存心志愿消防队，覆盖全汕头各乡镇、街道和村居，在消防队员的带领下，接受了专业化的训练。接下来，存心慈善会还计划修缮、恢复存心水龙局原貌，并改造为汕头市消防文化博物馆，建成集旅游、展览和消防安全宣传三位一体的消防科普教育基地。
