At about 10:00 a.m. on December 27, an international freight train fully loaded with toys, stationery, ceramic products, clothing, shoes and the accessories, and fitness equipment, etc. left Shantou North Railway Station and began a journey of more than 10,000 km to Minsk, capital of Belarus.

Shantou-Minsk international freight train travels via Urumqi West Railway Station, Alataw Pass Station, Kazakhstan, Russia to Belarus capital of Minsk, with the total distance of 10,200 km, costing one seventh of the air freight price and taking 16 to 18 days (one half of the shipping time). It provides safe, quick, convenient and high quality international railway transport services for the strategy of "Towards the Global" for Shantou products. After the successful test of the line, other 6 lines, namely, Shantou-Almaty of kazakhstan, Shantou-Tashkent of Uzbekistan, Shantou-Moscow of Russia, Shantou-Hamburg of Germany, Shantou-Iran and Shantou-Afghanistan will be put into operation in succession. In the early stage of operation, there will be 1 train per week. In the future, the operators will further cooperate and communicate with all parties along the line, actively expand the supply channels, strive to promote the normalization of the train operation, and gradually realize the operation of 2 to 3 trains per week.

汕头至明斯克国际货运班列试运行

12月27日上午10时多，一列满载玩具、文具、陶瓷制品、服装、鞋及其辅料、健身器材等货物的国际货运班列从汕头火车北站开出，开始前往白俄罗斯首都明斯克的1万余公里旅程。

汕头至明斯克国际货运班列经乌鲁木齐西站、阿拉山口站出境，途经哈萨克斯坦、俄罗斯到达白俄罗斯首都明斯克，全程约1.02万公里，运时16至18天，是空运价格的七分之一，是海运时间的二分之一，为汕头产品“走出去”提供安全、快捷、便利、高品质的亚欧国际铁路运输服务。班列测试成功后，将陆续开行汕头至哈萨克斯坦阿拉木图、乌兹别克斯坦塔什干、俄罗斯莫斯科、德国汉堡、伊朗和阿富汗等6条班列线路。运行初期班列每周1列，运营方今后将深化与沿线各方的合作交流，积极拓宽货源渠道，努力推进班列运行常态化，逐步实现每周2至3列。
