On June 16th, Shantou University held the 2019 Admissions Counseling Day and released a great news: to deepen the exploration of education reform, and further develop the demonstration role of Shantou University in higher education reform (Shantou University is the university jointly built by the Ministry of Education, Guangdong Province, and Li Ka-shing Foundation), Li Ka-shing Foundation launched a full-time undergraduate tuition fee incentives, becoming the first public comprehensive university of full-time undergraduate with full tuition fees as an award.
  
The first phase of the award program is for undergraduate students from 2019 to 2022, including four-year majors and five-year majors such as clinical medicine and stomatology. The awards mainly support the undergraduate students of these four grades to complete all undergraduate courses at the school.

李嘉诚基金会助力汕头大学首推本科生学费全额奖励

6月16日，汕头大学举行2019年招生咨询日活动，发布重磅消息：为深化教育改革探索，进一步发挥汕头大学作为教育部、广东省、李嘉诚基金会三方共建大学在高等教育改革中的示范作用，李嘉诚基金会推出本科生学费全额奖励创举，成为国内第一所全日制本科生学费全额奖励的公立综合性大学。

首期奖励计划的对象为2019级至2022级本科生，包括四年制专业和临床医学、口腔医学等五年制专业。主要奖励支持这四个年级的汕大本科学生在校修读完成本科所有课程。
