In recent years,focusing on improving quality and efficiency, green development and affluent fishermen, the city has vigorously developed marine aquaculture, stabilized offshore fishing industry, actively developed standardized healthy farming, and constantly optimized the fishery industry structure, which ensures the healthy and sustainable development of fishery production. The annual export volume of aquatic products in the city maintains at around 80,000 tons with an annual foreign exchange earning of 700 million US dollars on average. The products are exported to more than 30 countries and regions such as the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East with the export volume ranking firmly among the top 3 in Guangdong Province, from which the distinct industrial advantage can be seen.

汕头水产品年出口量稳居全省前三

近年来，我市围绕提质增效、绿色发展、富裕渔民，大力发展海水养殖业，稳定近海捕捞业，积极发展标准化健康养殖，不断优化渔业产业结构，渔业生产保持健康持续发展。全市水产品年出口量均保持在8万吨左右，年均创汇7亿美元，出口美国、欧洲、东南亚、中东等30多个国家和地区，出口量在广东省内稳居前3名，产业优势明显。
