Shantou is Determined as a Pilot City for Building a Strong National Intellectual Property City

Recently, China National Intellectual Property Administration announced the list of the pilot and demonstration cities and counties for building strong national intellectual property cities and counties, among which Shantou was determined as a pilot city for building a strong national intellectual property city, marking a higher level in building Shantou into a strong national intellectual property city.
Since its operation, Shantou Intellectual Property Protection Center has handled a total of 2,290 patent pre-review cases, 1,563 of which have obtained national authorized patents after had been pre-reviewed by the Center as qualified, setting records for the fastest authorization of invention patents in 24 working days, utility model patents in 2 working days, and design patents in 1 working day, thereby allowing innovative achievements to be quickly protected. At the same time, the Center meets the intellectual property protection needs of Shantou's industrial development and Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Guangdong Laboratory, giving full play to the incentive role of intellectual property protection in industrial innovation, and boosting Shantou's key industries to strengthen areas of weakness in scientific and technological innovation and achieve high-quality development.

汕头被确定为国家知识产权强市建设试点城市
近日，国家知识产权局发布国家知识产权强市建设试点示范城市、强县建设试点示范县名单，汕头市被确定为国家知识产权强市建设试点城市，标志着汕头市知识产权强市建设工作迈上新台阶。
汕头市知识产权保护中心自运行以来累计受理专利预审案件2290件，通过中心预审合格获得国家授权专利1563件，创下发明专利24个工作日、实用新型2个工作日、外观设计1个工作日的最快授权纪录，让创新成果快速得到保护。同时，保护中心匹配我市产业发展及化学与精细化工广东省实验室的知识产权保护需求，充分发挥知识产权保护对产业创新的激励作用，助推我市重点产业补齐科技创新短板，实现高质量发展。
