On May 23, the China National Conference Honoring Champions of Cultural and Ethical Progress took place in Beijing, where Shantou was proudly named one of the 7th National Civilized Cities. At the same time, 16 villages, organizations, families, and campuses in Shantou City were successfully recognized as new national civilized villages, civilized organizations, civilized families, and civilized campuses.
